Answers to what riders ask us most. If yours is not here, dispatch will take your call.
Booking a ride
How do I book a Diamond Cab?
Choose Book a ride, enter where you are going, confirm your pickup point and pick a ride type. You see the full fare before you confirm anything.
What is a flat fare?
Your fare is fixed when you book. Traffic, a longer route, or a slow afternoon do not change the price you agreed — what you are quoted is what you pay.
Do I need an account to book?
Yes. Booking takes a phone number and a six-digit code we send you by text. We need a way to reach you about the ride.
Paying
How do I pay for a ride booked on this website?
Rides booked here are paid in cash to your driver at the end of the trip. Paying by card on the website is not available yet.
Where do I find my receipt?
Open Your rides, choose a completed ride, and select View receipt. It shows the fare you were quoted and the fare you paid, which are the same number.
During your ride
How do I know which cab is mine?
Once a driver accepts, the ride page shows their name, the cab number, and the vehicle make, model and plate. Check those against the cab in front of you before getting in.
Can someone follow my ride?
Yes. Choose Share this trip on the ride page to create a link. Whoever you send it to can see where your cab is, and nothing else — they cannot change or cancel the ride.
Can I cancel after booking?
Yes, from the ride page, up until your driver arrives. Cancelling more than two minutes after a driver has accepted may carry a small fee that goes to the driver for the journey they have already started.
Accessible rides
What is a wheelchair-accessible ride?
An accessible vehicle carries a ramp or lift, secure wheelchair restraints, and a driver trained in boarding assistance — at the same flat fare as a standard ride. Choose Wheelchair Accessible when you pick a ride type.
Airport and cruise
Do airport pickups include waiting time?
Airport pickups include 45 minutes of free waiting after your flight lands, plus help with luggage.
Safety
Something feels wrong during my ride. What do I do?
If you are in danger, call 911 — that reaches emergency services directly and needs no account. During a ride you can also alert Diamond Cab dispatch from the ride page, and they can see your trip while it is happening.
How are Diamond Cab drivers vetted?
Every driver is a licensed professional with a background check, a vehicle inspection, and ongoing review of their ratings.
How do I report a problem with a driver?
Go to Safety and report it there. You can attach the ride it happened on, and choose whether we contact you about it — including asking us not to.
Lost property
I left something in a cab. What now?
Go to Help and report a lost item against the ride you took. We contact your driver and arrange getting it back to you. Check the same page for the report's progress.
Business and medical accounts
Does Diamond Cab support business accounts?
Yes. Companies with a Diamond Cab corporate account can have rides billed directly to the account. Contact dispatch to set one up.
Does Diamond Cab handle medical transportation?
Yes, through corporate and facility accounts — including wheelchair-accessible vehicles to and from appointments.
Still need a hand?
Dispatch answers the phone around the clock. If you are signed in, you can also raise a request and follow our reply.
